Taxonomy Preview Loading

The admin taxonomy preview shows an animated spinner and non-interactive card placeholders while requesting a draft or applying filters. The status is named for assistive technology; reduced-motion preferences disable the spinner's animation. No percentage or simulated completed cards are presented as progress.

After eight seconds, an additional message explains that loading is taking longer than expected. After thirty seconds without a successful response, the browser aborts the request and displays an error with Retry, rather than leaving an indefinite loading state. Changing filters or leaving the page aborts the prior browser request and prevents stale responses from replacing the latest selection.

This is client-side waiting/error handling, not streaming or a server performance improvement. Cancelling the browser request does not guarantee an already started database query stops. No draft publication, catalogue mutation, account access change, schema migration or mobile API restart is involved.

Validation uses disposable local staff/database fixtures and delayed browser responses: visible loader, slow hint, timeout, retry, stale response protection, desktop/mobile layouts, light/dark themes and reduced motion. No production account or real customer collection is used for these tests.
